I'm having trouble urinating.
The problem with urination can be of several kinds:
Urinary hesitancy (difficulty starting or maintaining a stream)
Incomplete urination (feeling of residual urine, so-called retention)
Intermittent urination (urinating "several times", necessity to change positions while urinating)
Burning when urinating
The first three problems are very often the result of a prolapse of pelvic organs, where a descent of the bladder can cause the urethra to bend and even break. In this case, anatomical correction is needed, most common in the form of some kind of surgery.
Burning sensations during urination can occur due to UTIs, urolithiasis (bladder stones), gynecological inflammations such as chlamydia, or even tumors or vulvodynia.
The treatment depends on the principal diagnosed affliction.
