Prim. David Šmíd, Ph.D. Center for Pelvic-Floor Disorders he and his colleagues are dedicated to Proctology. After completing his studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Pilsen in 2006, he joined the Surgical Clinic University Hospital in Pilsen, where he worked until 2019. Since 2019, he has been working in the Surgical Department of Stod Hospital, which he has been leading as chief of medicine since 2020.

Since the beginning of his professional career he has been involved in coloproctology and wound care. At his native institution he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the colon and rectum, including the treatment of malignant tumors. The most common diseases that David Šmíd treats include haemorrhoids, perianal fistulas, pilonidal sinus, rectal prolapses and malignant tumours of the colon.
